This Black August, Midnight Care Collective and Sojourners for Justice Press are bringing the Black Zine Fair to Detroit for the first time grounded in the abolitionist tradition and held in deep care.

Gather more details about the program and its activations here.

Midnight Care Collective (MCC) is a Black Feminist and Transformative Justice group that supports communal wellbeing through creative methods.

As a space-based collective, we are committed to Detroit and its transformative ways of being.

We innovate upon ancestral Care technologies to provide spaces, experiences, and self-guided resources for Detroiters seeking to deepen their connections to Care-based practices. These practices remind Detroiters of their roles in shaping the worlds we all can thrive in.

Further, we do this work to honor the Black Matriarchal Lineages that have come before us, enacting lessons of nurturance, interdependence, and ingenuity toward the futurity of Black people.
